Our full container load (FCL) is offered on a door-to-door or port-to-port basis and everything in between all over the world. Whether the loads fit standard 20” or 40” containers, high cube or palletwide, we can accommodate. We are also experts in handling special equipment, overweight or out-of-gauge loads on flat racks or open top containers.

ThorShip provides cargo insurance through cooperation with TM Insurance.

Shipment value of goods less than ISK 2.000.000
Shipments with insurance value of goods up to ISK 2.000.000 as stated on Bill of Lading or Waybill, can be insured for constant premium of ISK 1.950 for each shipment.  Own risk in this case, is ISK 20.000 in each insured event.

Shipment value of goods greater than ISK 2.000.000
Shipments with insurance value of goods greater than ISK 2.000.000 as stated on Bill of Lading or Sea Waybill, must be insured specifically with TM Insurance.  Please contact sala@thorship.is for the premium.  Own risk in this case, is ISK 75.000 in each insured event.

Insurance Amount / Value of goods
The amount of insurance coverage is defined as the customs value of the relevant goods of the insured shipment.

Commencement and End of Liability
Liability of TM Insurance commences at the same time of Thorship according to incoterms, and ends when the goods are delivered to the consignee or no later than sixty days after the insured cargo was unloaded from the ship in the final offloading harbor if not delivered to the consignee.

Claims
The Customer shall notify TM Insurance of any loss or damage as soon as possible by submitting an electronic claims notification on the TM Insurance homepage (here)

The following documents needs to be submitted to TM Insurance:

• Bill of Lading or Waybill

• Invoices for the relevant goods

• Transport order for the goods

• any other relevant documents to support the claim.
